Walls of Jericho have been around for a while now and have never really impressed me. Their first album was very samey, badly produced, vocals were a bit shit. I then saw them live and my opinion didn't change, they were trying to be an Arch Enemy style band but just weren't up to scratch.
When I noticed the release of With Devils Amongst Us All I thought I would give them another try. And I'm so glad I did. This album is excellent from start to finish. Songs like A Trigger Full of Promises and Welcome Home have huge thrash influences and definately show a different direction to the Arch Enemy comparison. While Candace's voice is similar to Angela Gossow's (Arch Enemy) the music itself is quite different.
It's hard to describe the album as a whole as it mixes together Thrash, Hardcore and on one track even hints of Gothic Metal in a Lacuna Coil style.
Very Brutal, Very good. Listen!
